Er... And they last how long? And how long have they been exploited? We're talking the difference between using up the dregs of an already existing site and building the infra- structure from sratch to exploit a pristine site. Entirely different kettle of fish. We are discovering new sites all the time. An oil field was discovered in the gulf of Mexico off shore from Texas that is estimated to be able to produce about 11% of our needs at current levels. Add to that ANWAR and what they expect to be able to get out of that and it starts to add up. We may never hit the mother load in one place but adding new technologies and new resource we could become energy independent and never need any more Arab oil. Pristine.... yeah those tundras are absolutely breath taking, mosquitos and all.
