This from the guy who got virtually everything he said about the film dead wrong, including that Gibson intended it as a love story and that it had no information about the era in which it took place, as well as believing the scholars' objections to its historical inaccuracies were *precisely reversed* from what they actually were. And he'll go to *his* grave absolutely convinced he got everything *right*. (Well, no, he did finally backpedal about its having no information about when it took place, but he never admitted he'd been wrong in his initial claim.)
