Even if it were true that he has a "friend" who said what he claims, because *they'd* have been lying to him. But if so, he wouldn't exactly be able to blame them for getting him into such trouble. I mean, this is such a perfect demonstration of what kind of person Barry really is, self-destructive behavior and all.
