A question I once posed to my brother in a family counseling session concerning
a
decision he made involving me:

Q:Did you ever get feedback from other people about what you decided to do?

A:No...

Perhaps it would be good for you to describe to someone who has no involvement
with the
situation what you have been doing and see how they respond.

I felt exasperated and concerned for you.

Depends on what I said. If I still agreed with what I said, I would be proud of
my
statement. If I disagreed, I would be annoyed or even embarrassed at my
previous lack of
insight.

How do YOU feel when you run across quotes of words you said in the past?
