??? First, MMY came 30 yrs late to the organic scene and isn't really
doing much now. If you ask any organic expert to name the top 100
people in the field, not one would name MMY. Second, what exactly did
MMY predict and what does it have to do with an article on the
potential benefits of organic agriculture??

This was corroborated by a friend of mine, who is working to promote MUM's
organic/eco curriculum. When he started his job, he figured that MUM would
be a vanguard in the field, but as he began to look into it, he realized
that MUM was not on the cutting edge at all and had a lot of catching up to
do. But still, I really admire the efforts MUM is making in this regard. If
they stick to it, this area could be a major attraction for potential
students. As it is, the main thing keeping the university alive is the
international students coming to study computer science. Most of them aren't
much interested in meditation. They just want to get into the US and get a
good education. So such a large contingent of kids with a ho-hum attitude
toward meditation definitely effects the vibe on campus.
