Certainly 'Adam and Eve", (representing the thinking and the feeling part of man's nature, even today) the androgynous human, was largely a 'descended' one or a product of maya/prakriti, although with the onset of freewill he was 'enabled' to become as gods, literally as the Bible points out, and that will be his/her destiny. As Adam/Eve sinned or transgressed the laws of nature they set in motion the inevitable law of consequence or karma and are working out their destiny till today as is the Divine Plan.
