You forgot that the current war in Iraq was unjustifiably started. It was to be a pre-emptive strike on the the WMD capability based on information from the CIA. It turned out that the information was seriously flawed, either through CIA's fault or throught the White House's manipulation.
After the military leaders found that there was no WMD in Iraq, guess what Bush did? He gave the ex-CIA chief a medal of honor for his role in the war! Most people would have fired the SOB's ass! Also, most spiritual leaders, including the Pope, opposed Bush's rationale for the war. But Bush did'nt listen. Guess what happened? We're stuck in Iraq now.
