This reminds me that there is a lot said about the dissolution of the ego, the "I am the doer", when a person goes from ignorance to enlightenment. But the ego, the sense of self doesn't get dissolved as many believe, rather it gets so big, so universal, that its object is no longer localized. No boundaries whatsoever on the ego-- non-localized-- no more static "I". Cosmic, galactic, universal ego. Not of ownership, but rather as human beings finally and perfectly in tune with our Divine instinct, just like the animals, only with the ability to transform our lives completely. A pretty simple accomplishment in hindsight (lol).
You reminded me of that, when you said to always strive to live our dreams, something which has been my guiding principle ever since I can remember, even as a very very young child. And it is a fail- proof way to live; I either achieve my dreams, or figure out why not. This crazy thinking that we have to settle for less, or that we need to be content with something less than a perfect life is just mental and emotional trash. It is through the many many attempts to realize our dreams that we find out who we are, where we are and what it really takes to get there.:-)
