Just from a perspective of the US starting wars, the Spanish-American
War (boiler explosion of The Maine battleship used as justification),
Vietnam (faked Gulf of Tonkin incident), invasion of Grenada (trumped
up Cuban threat), Gulf War I (encouraged Saddam to attack Kuwait, then
attacked him), and Gulf War II (fabricated WMD threat, before claiming
war "for democracy"), why is it unreasonable for another country to
then conclude that *we* should be nuked, or at least justifiably
bombed? When are pre-emptive strikes the "right" thing to do?:-)
