FWIW, someone on DailyKos has debunked this. Quite a few of the commenters were also skeptical of it, and Kossacks generally are only too ready to believe the worst of the Bush administration, so that tells you something about the credibility of Maccabee's story.

Me, I'm not entirely convinced all the scare talk recently about administration plans to attack Iran isn't for the purpose of scaring Iran into compliance with U.S. demands, rather than that the administration has decided to actually launch an attack.
