The architects of the Bush administration foreign policy (Project for a New American Century ?) did intend to confiscate Iran's oil assets, but the inept post-invasion occupation of Iraq has probably placed a damper on their plan for total world domination. In the meantime, establishing perpetual war funding seems to meet their goals (the admin is going to ask for another $50b in the coming month for Iraq). In order to retain a glimmer of sanity, I try to see the disastrous record of the Bush administration as a soon to be fading nightmare. If the U.S. does attack Iran, I can't muster the outrage any more. I'm too numb already.
