I have just got back from V99 (Chelmsford). It was my 6th time I have seen
Faithless perform live and this is quiet a hard one to rate. I remember they
played the following tracks but I am not sure if the order is
correct.
Reverence
She's My Baby
Take The Long Way Home
Bring My Family Back
Dirty Ole Man
Insomnia (They included part of the Moody mix in
there extension)
Salva Mea
God Is A DJ
Out of the 6 times I have seen them
play live this is the 1st time they have had to use a sequencer. But this had to
be done as Jamie was missing. He was also missing from the Lynx Vodoo Festival.
Does anyone know whats happened to him. Is he ill? Is he working on other
projects? Is he resting. All I hope is that he has not left the band as he is a
very important part of Faithless. They managed fine without him but the cost was
not hearing Don't Leave or the excellent Angeline.
This certainly was not there best
performance but by no means was it a bad performance either. I got worried when
they entered TTLWH as the Bass was so loud and substained I thought it was going
to blow the sound system. I was really disappointed when they played Dirty Ole
Man as they have played this everytime I have seen them and I personally think
it is one of there weakest tracks. Insomnia really got the crowd going wild as
Salva Mea and God Is A DJ did. There were a few problems with Maxi's mic during
GIAD but he got the crowd shouting out PEACE everytime after he shouted
it.
I have 2 MP3's of Faithless at the
Vodoo eclispe which I will put up soon Insomnia (Moody Live) and God Is A DJ
(Different to usual mix Live).
All for now.
