I have to agree with Martin here. Cheeky has scored Faithless nothing but
huge chart success in the UK. Arista has done SQUAT with Faithless in the
States.
An online buddy of mine works for a company that is doing work for Arista
artists right now (they just filmed the No Doubt video for instance) and I
turned him onto Faithless back when "Sunday 8PM" was out. He asked a few
people at Arista about
Faithless and was told they are not a "priority act" for the label. The
major labels SUCK here in the States, plain and simple. Avoid them like the
plague. I despise them. Faithless would be better off with a smaller label,
despite being distributed by
BMG, look at what V2 has managed to do with Moby in the States. His biggest
selling disc ever, a high profile like he NEVER obtained recording on
Elektra.
Electronic acts should avoid major labels in the States, they don't give a
shit about this music, they care only where the next N Sync, Britney Spears
or latest hot musical "trend" is coming from.

Yeah, the Dusted release on Go! Beat still has me stymied. It makes no
sense, especially when "Deeper River" was a Cheeky issue. Rob D, by the
way, has a mix of Moby's "Porcelain" coming out soon on the "Porcelain"
single so we know he is still alive :) But all the signs you point to here
certainly point to problems at Cheeky. Interesting points Martin.
