I'm listening to Outrospective for the fifth time or something, and I still
can't figure what the problem is... Dark and downbeat??? Musical styles used
are the same???
Let me get this straight: Outrospective includes two "proper classic
Faithless club tracks", same number as Outrospective and Reverence (well, if
you exclude Drifting away). It contains 4 almost-dance tracks (I mean 110
bpm stuff, like Lion tamer, Donny X, One step too far and the electro-house
Machines R us, the first two of which made us dance at the Athens concerts),
and also includes "the funkiest groove Rollo has eveer laid down"... There
might still be a few downtempo and moody tracks (the minimal and so chillled
it's almost relaxing Giving myself away being my personal favourite), but
overall it's more upbeat (in terms of tempo), uplifting (in terms of
feeling) and outrospective than Sunday 8PM, and I'm not even talking about
the lyrics!!!
I think this is as uplifting as you can get with being mature post-Sunday8PM
Faithless and not some Darude lookalike...
