I've seen semi-transparent tables on a lot of people's livejournals, and I was wondering if there is a CSS code to achieve that effect on a regular old web page.  Let me see if I can explain it... Say I had a background image of a guy on a tricycle, and I have a table over the background, but I want it to be a transparent grey, to where you can sort of see the background image through it, but it's still grey.

About the only thing I've found so far is the clear option on boxes in CSS, but it doesn't say anything about having degrees of transparency.

Does anyone know how to do this?
