>Now, thoughts. she doesn't really do other things (photos, etc) which way >do you think is best- one folder for fic, with subfolders for each fandom >(ie: /ALF/fic/SG1 ALF/fic/DM etc....) or just top level ALF/SG1 ALF/DM, >etc. I am thinking the top levels. Well, I've got Fries setup with one folder for each author, and then subfolders for each fandom *if* they write in multiple fandoms. If not, their stuff is loose in their folder (with subfolders for series', if they have them). So, this is how *I* would do it, if I was archiving for her. Since /ALF is the "author" folder, /SG1 would be the fandom folder, with maybe subfolders or any series. This: /alf/sg1/story1.html /alf/sg1/story2.html /alf/sg1/this_series/story1.html /alf/sg1/that_series/story1.html /alf/sg1/poetry/story1.html I'd also do the URL in all lowercase. It's a pain the ass to have to mess with the caps lock or shift key while typing a URL. JMHO ...SuBethJimBob -- Chief Burger Flipper You Want Fries with That?
