You probably do need to tune your JVM.  If you have  the default it is set
to "0 to 512" megs on the heap. With 2 Gigs you could safely set it to
1024/1024. There are lots of blogs on this topic - including my own:

Do a search for JVM and you should get a couple of posts plus links to other
blogs like Robi Sen, Bruce Purcell and Pete Freitag (among others).

It is a new powerful Windows box, running 2003 sp1. 2 gb of ram.  Dual
2.8gHz Intel Xeon chips.

The database is MySQL 5.0.0.1 on the same server.  I don't know how to
allocate it more ram.

The server uses only about 1gb ram and 1% of cpu power.

I have CF set to default caches I think....

Ideas?  More questions?
