You may want to just create a custom displayTeaser.cfm file for the
dmNews type and have the link go to the news page to display that news
story. Of course you will have to create a custom display page for the
dmNews type as well.

Within my site design, at the bottom of every page, I have

When I click on the [go] link within the teaser text of that

it displays the page, but I also want the main navigation 'new' button
