Here is a thought - are you working on an existing object (dmNavigation)? I remember banging my head against the monitor (in the CRT monitor days!) trying to figure why my mods would not work on existing objects but did on new ones. Turned out to do with the PLP storeage. The old objects did not have an entry for my new field. It all came good when I created a new version of an existing object.
