You can create dmInclude objects, and use them to include other applications
(mach ii, fusebox, model, glue, etc.).

You can also configure farcry to run w/in a directory of the site (e.g.
www.mysite.com/products).

applications

Hi Scott,

But that's the point. I want to run Farcry with the other stuffs I have on
this site. If I do this change than the other pages I have will not work. Is
there any other way to solve that?

Thanks

Change your IIS root. It should be
D:\website\mysite\cms\projects\emanweb\www

ops! I've made a mistake on my previous email. here's the right info:

My CF farcry mapping points to: D:\website\mysite\cms
My IIS virtual forder for the application named emanweb points to:
D:\website\mysite\cms\projects\emanweb
My IIS virtual folder for the farcry is inside the virtual folder above and
points to: D:\website\mysite\cms\core\admin D:\website\mysite\cms\core\admin
My IIS root points to: D:\website\mysite

Thanks again.

Hi Stephen, thanks for your reply.

I am trying to install Farcry 4 on my existing site (witout any other
version of farcry but running blogcfc).

Here's my enviromment:
ColdFusion MX 7
IIS 6 on Windows 2003
SQL Server 2000

Here are my folders/virtual mappings/cf mapping structure

My CF farcry mapping points to: D:\website\mysite\cms
My IIS virtual forder for the application named emanweb points to:
D:\website\mysite\cms\projects\emanweb
My IIS virtual folder for the farcry is inside the virtual folder above and
points to: D:\website\blog.emanuelcosta.com\cms\core\admin
D:\website\mysite\cms\core\admin
My IIS root points to: D:\website\mysite

And here's the screenshoots including CF debug information for the
installation form
http://blog.emanuelcosta.com/cms/farcry_install_form.jpg (470kb)
and the page I received after submitting the form (418kb)

Thanks again.

Emanuel,

If you're talking about installing Farcry 4 along side prior versions of
Farcry take a look at this diagram.

http://docs.farcrycms.org:8080/confluence/display/FCDEV40/Running+v3+and+v4+
Together

If you're talking about other applications that are not farcry-based, then
you shouldn't need to do anything special to get it working.

What is actually happening during the installation? What is happening after
the installation?

Regards

Stephen

Hi,

I'm having some hard time trying to install Farcry 4 on IIS 6. I followed
all the instructions but keep getting the same page that is not helping much
solving the problem.

I was able to install Farcry 2 some time ago and was giving a try to the new
4.0.

I then took a look at the file help.cfm and found this text but the link is
no longer working:

"Read <a

B22FF2DA0952 " target="_blank">tech note</a> about setting up FarCry to run
alongside your existing applications."

Any ideas?

Thanks.
