Also, Blair is correct. The exact problem you're having could happen if you don't have J2EE session variables turned on (they are turned off by default). To check, go in the ColdFusion Administrator and click on "Memory Variables" (link on the left menu). Check to make sure that "Use J2EE session variables" is checked. If not, check it and "submit changes" (I don't believe a restart of CF is required).
