My farcry stuff is on 10g. I don't know about earlier versions, although there's nothing extremely complicated about the schema. You could try the install and see where it takes you. I got FC 3 working on Oracle 10g which took some work. I know there have been many improvements since then. If anything, you might have to change a couple queries or data types. No biggie!
