Most of the time we see specific questions asked here, thought I would add a performance tip to save your tiring web and database servers.
Having used webskin caching in a limited way on existing sites with some improvements in performance. I am now seeing the true benefit of webskin caching on a new FC6 site. Some example average page speed, as indicated in the webtray - without caching = average of between 0.4 and 0.5 seconds - with caching = average of less than 0.01 seconds Yes that is less than one hundredth of a second with caching enabled compared to almost half a second without caching. Same servers, same pages, same content just one version with the FarCry webskin caching switched on. This is all on a development server, but should get similar percentage improvements on production servers. I know Geoff has said – “we are all using wekskin caching aren’t we?” well if you are not you should look into it.
