Hi,

I have not re-visited the Google Maps 'enhanced' plug-in for a while -
but the idea of my modifications is based exactly on Blair's point -
the admin interface for points accepts a coordinate or an address. If
an address is entered, the admin. type page geocodes it on entry and
stores the lat/long coordinate into the FarCry DB.

When the webskin runs it first uses the coordinate (thus not requiring
a geocode at display time) but will still use an address (and geocode
it) is no coordinate is found.

You can see this running nice and quickly at:
http://publicspace.planning.sa.gov.au/index.cfm?objectid=E9C31663-96B8-CC2B-EAAEA6E5C2D40EDA.

Like I said, I haven't looked at my code for a while (and a few FC
versions) but if others are making enhancements or modifications to
keep up with the Google Maps changes it would be great to see these
packaged up and added to the bug tracker!

Cheers

David
