I'll try to commit it to trunk this afternoon. But the nav stuff won't be the riskiest part of the change - in 6.1 the database gateways are entirely replaced. In theory they should work with only an updateapp, and bulk repair of properties when you get around to it. In practice ... that's still only the theory. We don't have any real projects running on it yet.
