I'm not sure where to continue with this. I am aware that the windows based install has an actual installer....where do we start with Linux?
The install process shouldn't be any different on a *nix machine...just untested ;)
You need to set up your apache mappings, datasource etc (see install guide on website), restart your services and the browse to farcry/install/. Fill out the form with the appropriate details (what db are you using btw?) and submit and this should start the install process.
If the install doesn't look like it's working you may want to add a <cfdump var="#cfcatch#"> in the catch section of the farcry_core/install/index.cfm file to see what is actually breaking. Remember to delete all database tables and restart cfmx services before attempting to install again.
