Yes!! That is exactly what I want. Obviously I need to read the
documentation again (which is probably where I found it in the first
place). Although I think there were a few quick releases with some major
changes on the Admin side - and I wasn't keeping up with them (I went from
b121 to b126).

Your example is what I want (although my Footer menu tree contains real
pages - it will be the Banner menu that will have the symbolic links).

However, another site that I may convert to FarCry has a really unusual
navigation that they may not be prepared to "lose" - and all (or most) of
that may be done through symbolic links.

With regard to Geoff's comment about the symbolic link having no
teaser...... that is not really going to be an issue for me in how I will
use it (in either of the above cases).

But Brendan's comment re the next release would solve that perfectly.

Once again, you guys ROCK with this CMS. Aside from some of the core
issues being progressed now (like i18n and locales) the product always
seems to either do everything out of the box or is not far away from
having the functionality.

Obviously, Brendan is back from holidays and the walk-throughs will
re-emerge soon ;)

I am eagerly awaiting the walk-through on creating your own security
directories (although I have some new ideas on how I might do that by
faking a dmUser schema using a View).

Then, of course, is how to link up a dmProfile to an external security
directory AND how to automatically set up basic permissions for over
20,000 people!
