Tom,

We use to show child objects of dmHTML in the tree... however, that was removed based on user feedback. Many found it confusing and were cross linking several pages to point to the same file sitting under an HTML object. File sharing was designed to work under a separate Assets tab or File Library Tab.

As a consequence, we removed the visibility of dmFile and dmImages from under dmHTML in the tree and added drop down menus on the BODY step of the dmHTML edit handler. For some clients we even modified the Rich Text Editor to provide this information in the form of a dialogue box.

I think the whole area of "auxillary" objects like file and image and the UI for associating them with dmHTML needs to be rethought and redone.

Any input from other developers on this list is welcome.

I just noticed that my files(dmFile) are not showing up in the tree(Home) as child objects if I add them when creating/editing a page(dmHTML). Is this by design?

Ok...I believe I see the solution. Assuming that files should show as
children in the tree, in farcry_core\tags\navajo\treeData.cfm, line:273, add
"dmFile" to the lAllowTypes list and voila! All fixed, I think?, Daemon,
could you confirm this and that I didn't just break something else.
