Okay so we now have app1 which still works, I have a
database schema for farcry_test, but no structure in the web
heirarchy for it....follow so far? :) How do I now ensure that a raw
farcry_aura is copied to that structure for farcry_test?

Originally you would have needed to do a full install, but I think
you
may not have restarted cfmx services before installing, which may
have
corrupted your permissions. I really need to look at the install
process
and see if we can stop this from happenning.
A db only install doesn't copy farcry_aura or make any changes to the
site config file, it just installs the db. You will need to use the
same
values in the install form as you did previously, ie same name,
datasource, dbowner etc
