fine - in fact you've confirmed what i suspected in that it's only an issue with
apache. i keep promising myself i'll investigat it it's just that my apache setup is
at work and my internal server setup is at home which is where i do 99% of my farcry
work. anyhoohow i'll install apache this w/end and get to the bottom of this sucker.

Hi Nick, yes I have already tried this scenario using the CF
internal server without issue. I haven't tried Brendan' suggestion
from this morning yet but will do so over the weekend.

            Regards

sorry for butting in here but Dean it is feasible to try what you're
doing but using CF's internal server rather than Apache (I believe
you're using Apache)? I've got multi-sites working a treat in this
scenario but still haven't resolved the issue trying to do the same
        with Apache.

                N.

Ok I was trying to say you don't need to delete your web
structure
        hence
the need to only have a db only install, sorry for the
confusion.
        Drop
all tables again, restart cfmx and do a full install.
