produces HTML4? I think it would be wise (as painful as it is) to set the default doctype to HTML4 trans until we have a XHTML wysiwyg editor. As soon as htmlArea 3 comes out of beta I'll be trying get that running in FarCry and also a few plugins for it to support the extra FarCry functionality.
Aura templates are just something to get you going. You don't have to use them. You don't have to have a doctype of XHTML. They are just something to get you going. Change them as you like or throw them out completely.
btw Ektron's eWebEditPro editor claims to be XHTML compliant and is supported by FarCry.
