As we move along here making a FarCry ecommerce system, I am realizing I need to define some new icons in the tree for the sake of visual clarity.

Are you talking about NEW icons to represent new objects or just replacing the existing icons we have in place?

I see where to add icons, however, is there any way to do it without disrupting the core code?

..\farcry_core\admin\images\treeImages is where the icons reside. There are a couple of icon directories -- more a backup actually than anything else. We wanted folk who didn't like the new blue icons to be able to revert easily.

At the moment you need to basically copy over the top of the existing icons. We were going to provide a general config switch for tree icon libraries, but I guess we liked our new blue icons so much we ran out of steam.

Icon libraries would form part of our effort to refactor the admin interface to allow for easy customisation, cleaner HTML and the capacity to change the entire look with a style sheet. Things are a little bit messy in some areas of the interface -- apologies for that.

If you want to get in there and hack around I suspect we'd need to add an treeiconlib path constant -- I'm a stickler for good naming so you might want to run the proposed global constant by the list. Then a bit of global find/replace and an addition to the general config -- Paul, Brendan anything to add?
