I have a question about installation. I am finally having a look at farcry,
after a few months of TRYING to look at it.

I will admit, this may, or may not, be a stupid question. Nevertheless, it
is an important one for me, and for a lot of others.

I am working on a very important project right now that will have lasting
ramifications (especially if you belong or are interested in Macromedia User
Groups). I am attempting to create something that never existed before: A
portal for all Macromedia User Groups with applications that all user groups
will use, and anyone that has interest in joining a user group or attending
a meeting, will use. This project is independent of Macromedia, but the
User Group program knows what I am doing, and they are hopeful I can come
through. If all goes well, I will debut it at the first day of the
Macromedia MAX 2003 during the User Group Managers and Team Macromedia
Community College. This is an ambitious project, especially given the fact
that I have ten days to do it. I intend to use FarCry to wireframe and
prototype the portal.

The documentation says to install at C:\inetpub\applications and for the web
server, it gives two options:

You have 2 options here:
1.. Setup FarCry to run as the home directory of your web server

2.. Run FarCry alongside your existing applications
Here is my problem: Both options are not acceptable.

If I change my home directory of my web server, that means that a lot of my
existing web site development will stop working without a lot of IIS
changes, if at all.

If I run alongside my existing applications, I have no other applications.
I have several sites in development that are using the home directory of
C:\inetpub\wwwroot. I do not want to destroy how they work when I install
FarCry.

So, what do I do? Where do I install FarCry? At C:\inetpub\wwwroot?
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\farcry?

I am hoping I can get an answer from you soon. Also, if this does go well,
I will probably be doing a review of FarCry for the ColdFusion Developer's
Journal.
