> Well, as it tells you to in the walkthrough

OK - understand now. Also, something I forgot to mention that Geoff
actually brought up this week (I think), most errors are actually trapped
with <CFTRY> blocks and often an error wont be displayed. You should add
a "&debug=1" onto the end of your URL if you suspect things are working
right and the errors will be displayed.

> I guess you're talking about adding navigation nodes

Yes - but I incorrectly assumed you were adding a dmInclude object into
the main nav tree. And yes, the Utility menu is for maintaining a tree
that is not displayed as the main part of the navigation. It allows you
to create up tree's that hold items that do not automatically appear. You
can also use it to create mini-trees for sub-navigation (something that I
need to revisit for parts of our new site when I get the time).

Obviously the real issue here was that the tutorial is an older one -
prior to V2 release - and some of the filenames have changed.

This is only a personal preference, but I strongly suggest that people try
and generate their own "empty" template first in FarCry so that they know
what the minimal template is to get content appearing. Once you know
this, you can use your existing HTML/CSS skills to build up a template and
progressively replace portions with FarCry magic.

I found trying to modify the included templates a little daunting
initially because I couldn't separate out what was just traditional stuff
from what was trimming from what was critical.

Just as a side comment, there is very little that is "critical" in a
template.

The simplest template you can have is:

<CFOUTPUT>
#stObj.body#
</CFOUTPUT>

If you know this much, you can create anything around that you like and
you have a FarCry template.
