Two things to check:

1. Do you have the latest version of CFMX installed? It should be 6.1 to run
Farcry 2.x

2. Does your MySQL user have Create_tmp_table_priv priviledge set to Yes? If
not you'll need to set that permission to "Yes", drop any tables, restart
MySQL, restart CFMX and then restart the installation.

Both of these have been points of confusion in the past. The latest beta
build which is currently being tested addresses both of these checks in the
new install procedure.
