Update: I do believe I've set the appropriate permissions for the "You need to have Create_tmp_table_priv privilege set to true for your MySQL user" error, but I still have that particular issue.
Can anyone help me get through this? This should be the last bit I need to get myself up and running and sleepless with progress, for a change!
