It was quite simeple, I used the following to get the categories for an object
<cfinvoke component="#application.packagepath#.farcry.category"
method="getCategories" returnvariable="lCategegoryLabels">
<cfinvokeargument name="objectID" value="#request.stobj.objectID#"/>
<cfinvokeargument name="bReturnCategoryIDs" value="false"/>And then looked into the categories to determine a nav_alias to use for the breadcrumbs tagging the title of the news item on the end.
I know about the christmas deadline.

I have a couple of sites in mind - a personal blog/CF development site and the team intranet for work. They will probably want to work off the same overall structural concept with News items/blog entries, regular pages, event/calendar stuff for the local MMUG, etc. I just have to figure out how to make it work as I want to get some of it happening over Christmas.
