Gary,

What I did was to a quick solution to get the site up and running.

What you have outlined, sounds a good way to go. I suppose all it would require is a dropdown to allow selection from a list of NavAlias.

And amend the breadcrumb to use the NavAlias , BIncludeSelf=false and then dispaly the dmNews Title next to the breadcrumb.

That is a much tidier solution to my quic hack.

I dont see that adding a new NavAlias would not be a problem. You would be limited to this only working on pages with a NavAlias though, but that is a major issue.

I like it.

Chris.

actually that is the way it works. we are currently working on a mod to get
around it, if you can wait until next week.

What mod are you planning for this Chris?

What I would personally like is the ability to provide a NavAlias to a dmNews
item (optionally of course) that would determine it's position in the Nav tree.

In some instances we are using a dmNews item to highlight certain features of
the site and it would be good for that item to appear at a certain point in the
NavTree (as though it were under that nav).

With the above solution it would not impact the existing way it works unless
you added in a NavAlias.

Regards,
Gayr Menzel
