Hi all,

This problem is still bugging me.

I've had some great help from wayne from Daemon and we've tried everything we could think of, but i still can't get friendly urls to work again.

They are installed properly and worked 100% perfectly until last night. I think that a user managed to balls up the tree structure using the farcry admin site. This user has no FTP access to the server or anything.

The generated urls (using buildlink tag, or say the built-in site map) now come out with /home/friendly_url rather than /go/. Obviously since i dont have a mapping in the [coldfusion]/wwwroot/WEB-INF/web.xml this produces a 404 error.

The settings are right, i've repaired the tree, i've installed the classes, i've restarted CF- everything. I've cleared the FriendlyURLs.txt and Reset all friendly urls.

Friendly URLs still work on a different farcry installation on the same server.

If I do a scope dump of the application scope I the FU bit shows mappings for both /home and /go. Randomly within the site i'll have a link that will show with the correct /go/ mapping.

This is driving me nuts! Any ideas? I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks

Gav

Subject: [farcry-dev] strange friendly URL problem

Hi all,

I'm getting a really wierd problem with friendly urls.

The site is still in development, and the other guy working on it did something wierd overnight. Now some of the friendly urls are like:

/home/contact-us  rather than /go/contact-us.

Very very strange. Has anyone seen this before?

If anyone wants to mail me offlist, i'll be able to give you the url and password for the site... i just dont want to post it here for the whole net to see!

thekingaintdead <at> hotmail dot com

Thanks

Gav
