Hi all,
With thanks to Geoff, Spike and Wayne, I finally got it fixed.
For anyone with a similar problem in the future, here's what I learned....
The servlet mapping that gets added to web.xml causes every URL starting
with that string to be processed by the FriendlyURL Servlet.
The servlet only reads the friendlyURLs.txt text file at startup. From then
on everything is done in memory, so if you empty the text file you need to
make sure the server is stopped when you do it.
So to fix the problem what I did was:
Made sure the FU setting were correct in Admin>configFiles>fUSettings.
Clicked 'Update config'
Stopped CF.
Cleared the contents of {cf}/wwwroot/WEB-INF/classes/FriendlyURLs.txt
Started CF.
Logged back into
Admin>Reset all Friendly URLs - Clicked the link
Then
Admin>Dump scope - Dumped Application scope
Friendly URLs all looked correct.
View Site - FriendlyURLs all seem to work fine.
Then I went back and did a Admin>Reset all Friendly URLs on all my farcry
installs on that server.
I don't know how the problem originated, but this is how it was fixed.
Thanks a lot to all that helped me fix this problem.
Gavin
