This describes my problem exactly. Thanks.

Entered about 100 events yesterday and sometimes I forgot to set the expiry
date correctly and needed to start again filling the title and location
field
which was already filled before the error appeared. When this happens to me
often this will happen to users too. It's frustrating a little.

I did not say this would be an bug. The error message is legitimate. But I
see no need why the correctly given data in the text fields should be lost
if the error concerns the expiry date only. It's not user friendly I wanted
to say.

For this case I removed client side validation for the title and location
data and replaced it with an CF validation during during the form processing
which stops on error but is loosing no form data. I will proceed similar for
the News and Facts forms also.

Regards from Munich

Silvio

Correct me if I'm wrong, but i believe he is trying to say that he is
purposly causing the error for his example. What he's saying (if I
understand him correctly) is that if he fills out fields like a Title
and then makes an error on the something else (ex. The date fields used
her) he should be notified of the error (which is working correctly) and
not lose all of his form data that he's already entered. However all of
the "correct" data he's filled out (such as Title) are now empty (data
lost).

Hope I got that right :)

Here is a quote from Silvio's original post:
"When entering event objects and the form is producing an error like
'Expiry or End dates cannot be before Publish or Start Dates' The form
is losing the values in the title and location field so you have to
re-enter."
