I ran into an errrr....."undocumented feature" in jrun.security.NTAuth.getUserGroups() today while working on some Farcry Active Directory stuff. It seems that if the string of groups is long enough (I'm not sure exactly how long it has to be) then getUserGroups will throw an exception and the user won't be able to login. This is quite a bummer as many of the 900+ users in our AD are members of dozens of groups.
There's quite a bit of chatter about this in the MM forums and elsewhere but I have yet to find a workaround and MM isn't saying much if anything. So friends, if you're using Farcry with Active Directory this is one to be aware of. Also, if anyone has an idea for a better approach, I'm all ears! ~tom --- You are currently subscribed to farcry-dev as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Aussie Macromedia Developers: http://lists.daemon.com.au/
