I'm not really sure if I want to extend Aura or create a whole new set of templates. Tell you what, i'll go ahead and do it, and then show it to you and we can take it from there.
What i was initially thinking was that for the install you could choose "aura" or whatever name i come up with. It might just be better to zip up the files and let people install over aura if they want. I think a pre-built db files might be the way to go, but I'm not sure if this will have problems for different dbs.
