I saw one 100,00 page site that was had 150 content providers. (It was a university one)
Is this typical?
I ask because I wonder what the ideal ratio of content providers to pages might be. 400? (Total guess)

Big numbers. 10k users who are simply site members is fine. Managing 10,000 contributors to the main admin might be a challenge -- but more business process than technology. 100,000 pages -- depends on the content type. You may find that hard to render in the tree without a lot of zooming (but that's why we have zooming and load on demand) but should be easy through an enhanced generic admin.
Does it cluster nicely?
Of course. There are many FarCry clusters out there.
Has anyone actually gone this big with it?
Yes. There are several large sites out there. Hopefully we'll have a massive one in terms of traffic to blow our trumpet over by the new year :)
