I've used the symbolic link before but it wont' work in this instance because I don't want to link to an entire nav node I want to link to a specific page of another nav node. Kind of like a redirect. Anybody hitting this particular button will always get routed to the most current version of this particular column, but all past versions of the column need to continue to exist for archive purposes.
In essence I'm having the user build all new content pages directly into the archive structure and just link to it from the current issue structure. Does that make sense? The user could simply edit the properties of the link monthly. You might also get away with using a "Symbolic Link". A Symbolic Link is basically a link to another Nav Alias in the Farcry tree. Have a look at the edit screen for a dmNavigation node and expand the "Advanced Options". The Symbolic Link option allows you to in affect say "I want this Node to point to this this Nav Alias". The beauty part is the Nav Alias can move and the Symbolic Link will always follow it. Am I making sense here? If you want to make it easy on your User then I would go with the Symbolic link option.
