I have just put this at the top of the edit for dmImage (will do the same for dmFile). Prelimary testing on my dev server works fine. Will test on site to ensure there are not any security issues.

Interesting solution. Keep in mind that MACR might actually acknowledge the 3 million emails we've sent them and recognize that a fix is required. So you might want to remove the code in the future (although it probably wont hurt anything leaving it there).
