Of course, you know me..I am all for FarCry and open source :-) Well, Lucene is as good as Verity and it does have the same feature set AFAIK - but you have to code them rather than relying on pre-built sets.

Best to start this as a "custom admin" project. You need some sort of search maintenance area. The actually search results page itself is simply an included object. I'd recommend taking a look at the Macromedia DRK work that was done to provide a Lucene interface to CF to get started. Bear in mind that anything to be contributed to FarCry opensource needs to be intellectual property that can be freely distributed.
