AFAIK farcry has no probs working with ODBC attached database, since it
uses only your datasource defined in CF.
But of course the datasource must be valid. So better investigate the
CF-DB connection. There are a lot of potential problems with this
connection.
I am sure, if your datasource check becomes valid, then farcry will run.

- you could try using your external IP-adress instead of 127.0.0.1 to
bind to.
- check, if SQL is really running on port 1433
- disconnect from network and disable firewall, then try to connect
- try to find the exact error in log files/ etc.
- double check your username/pass for the connection (sa,...)
- verify that SQL Server and Client Network Libraries are present and
active (TCP, named pipes)
- look for the latest updater for CF 6.1 on macromedia.com , there you
will find hints to find your current version. some older Updaters had
probs with DB drivers !
