hi Alain, we are using templates with includes for static parts of the layout. e.g. we have a standard template 'displaystandard.cfm' for type dmHTML and we use includes for header, left and right column and footer like this: '<cfmodule template="/farcry/#application.applicationname#/webskin/includes/standard_leftcolumn.cfm">'
this has the advantage, that you can reuse those includes in several templates and have less redundant code. Inside the included parts we use containers as well (navigation etc.).
