Sounds right.
The Friendly URLs are being built and I see them in the admin, but anytime I try to type them in the URL to get them to work, it just displays the Homepage... No errors, just displays the homepage.
Displaying homepage is default behaviour for not finding an appropriate FU entry for the URL.
Under Admin >> Manage Friendly URLs make sure you have a FU that is correct for the corresponding URL you are after. If all seems well post a sample of this output to the list.
